Creosote builds up every time you burn. Enough of it, and a stray spark in the flue turns into a chimney fire. We sweep the full length of the flue, the smoke shelf and the firebox, and we do it with drop cloths down and a HEPA vacuum running.

An inspection tells you what shape the system is actually in — the liner, the crown, the flashing, the mortar joints — and gives you a written report you can hand to a buyer, a seller, or an insurance adjuster.

An open flue is a hole in your roof. A cap keeps water, nesting birds and raccoons out of it. A working damper keeps the air you paid to heat from going straight up the chimney.

Missouri freeze-thaw cycles are hard on brickwork. Spalling brick, a cracked crown or failed flashing all end the same way: water inside the structure. We fix the masonry before it becomes a rebuild.
